There’s a monumental moment in every person’s journey, when you become aware that the noise outside of you has nothing to do with the work required inside of you.

I was in meditation and prayer yesterday morning, and the Biblical story of Noah was placed on my heart. When we look at Noah building the ark, what we often overlook is the sheer loneliness of that labor. He was constructing something monumental to his life without any proof, precedent, or praise. He wasn’t fueled by applause… he wasn’t explaining himself either. He wasn’t trying to convince anyone at all! That is the precise energy required when you are in the season of deprogramming.

The Work No One Sees

Deprogramming isn’t sexy. It doesn’t show up well on social media. It’s not a trending topic. It looks like distance. It looks like discipline. It looks like letting go of who you thought you had to be so you can become who you were born to be.

Most people stop the work because they’re still craving validation from a crowd who was never assigned to understand them. Noah could’ve stopped after the hundredth laugh, the thousandth eye-roll, the millionth doubt… but he didn’t! He understood that when you’ve been chosen for something, the approval of others is irrelevant.

Your silence is sacred.

The voices of others… from their projections to their fears and their opinions… All equate to distractions meant to keep you outside of yourself.

When the flood of blessing comes, it will be you who is ready to receive it. Not because you announced your preparation, but because you quietly became the person capable of holding it.
