When Flowers Fail

I write this for those who are soft to the soul, fragrant with compassion, and vibrant with presence. You show up, you water, and you offer sunshine to lovers still stuck in shade. And for a while… they love it. They sniff the petals of your kindness. They smile at your color and your consistency. They’re amazed at how you keep blooming in places you weren’t planted.

But we know love isn't proven in admiration. It's proven in maintenance.
And maintenance? That’s where many fail.

They love flowers… but they don’t want to garden.

There will always be people who want a bouquet but refuse the responsibility of keeping the flowers fresh. They’ll take the version of you that’s already arranged, already flourishing, and already soft… but will never dig deep enough to know what keeps you in bloom. And if you let them…they’ll keep taking, sniffing, displaying you in vases they never intend to water.
